Course TWO

Course TWO builds directly on Course ONE. Before joining, you should be able to tie a retraced figure-eight knot, belay safely using an ATC or tube-style device, clip quickdraws while lead climbing, and know the basic climbing commands. 

The course runs once a week on the same day and at the same time, or twice a week on pre-arranged dates.

• Group course (max. 6 participants): CZK 1 300 per person
• Course for two: CZK 4 500

During the course, you will develop your climbing skills and confidence through:

• refreshing the rules for the safe use of an indoor climbing wall, including tying in, belaying, and clipping quickdraws while lead climbing;
• practising correct belayer positioning, active belaying, and efficient clipping technique;
• learning to catch falls on top rope and lead, including falls at and above the last clipped quickdraw, using dynamic belaying;
• improving your climbing technique, including climbing and falling on overhangs; and
• learning and practising essential climbing and mountaineering knots.

The price includes instruction, the use of ropes, belay equipment, and quickdraws for clipping practice.

The price does not include a harness, climbing shoes or admission to the Climbing Centre.

As a course participant, you can purchase a 5-entry pass at reception upon request.

The course is suitable for adults and young people aged 15 and over when accompanied by an adult.

We reserve the right to cancel the course if the minimum number of participants is not reached. Missed lessons cannot be rescheduled, replaced or refunded. The course is organised by the HO SmíchOFF, z.s. association at the SmíchOFF Climbing Centre.
